SPEAKIN Lab is a research group focused on speech and language. Our primary interests lie in speech acquisition and adaptation, speech perception and production, and the dynamics of these processes across languages, dialects, and stages of human life. The team is composed of researchers and students from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University, the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové. Our experiments are conducted at the Laboratory of Behavioural and Linguistic Studies LABELS, in the field (e.g., in hospitals and schools), or at partner institutions. We work closely with the Department of English and American Studies at Palacký University in Olomouc as well as with several universities and research institutes in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Australia.
